The Journal of Arthroplasty (JOA) is the official Journal of the American Association of Hip andKnee Surgeons. AAHKS Active Members receive the print journal as well as full-text online access to the JOA for one year with their paid membership dues. |

The JOA brings together the clinical and scientific foundations for joint replacement. This peer-reviewed journal publishes original research and manuscripts of the highest quality from all areas relating to joint replacement or the treatment of its complications, including those dealing with clinical series and experience, prosthetic design, biomechanics, biomaterials, metallurgy, biologic response to arthroplasty materials in vivo and in vitro.
Once the on-line access is activated, JOA subscribers can:
- View tables of contents and abstracts
- Read and search full-text articles (starting with June 2000, with tables of contents and abstracts from 1997)
- Link to other online journals
- Access Medline and other electronic databases such as OMIM and Mosby's DrugConsult
NEW IN 2002:
The JOA will publish a special supplement highlighting the best manuscripts and Symposia presented at the 2002 AAHKS Annual Meeting, to be held Nov. 1-3, 2002 in Dallas. The supplement will be distributed in the Fall of 2003. Mary O'Connor, MD, will serve as Editor for this special publication.
